Privacy and cookies
Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. What you add to My bar stays in your own browser, and only if you allow it.
Cookies
Jigger doesn’t set any cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage instead, which works like a cookie but is never sent to a server. Nothing optional is stored until you choose in the cookie notice, and you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
What is stored on your device
| Item | What it’s for | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
jigger.consent | Your answer to the cookie notice | Essential | 12 months, then we ask again |
jigger.bar | Ingredients you added to My bar | Preferences | Until you clear it or withdraw consent |
jigger.saved | Cocktails you saved with the heart | Preferences | Until you clear it or withdraw consent |
jigger.units, .subs, .view, .theme | ml or oz, substitutes, grid or list, light or dark | Preferences | Until you change it or withdraw consent |
Offline cache (jigger-…) | Copies of pages, styles and fonts so the site works without a connection | Preferences | Replaced with each site update |
If you choose Essential only, My bar, saved cocktails and settings still work while the page is open, but nothing is kept afterwards, and any data stored earlier is deleted along with the offline cache.
A link to your bar, or to a cocktail menu made from it, carries the list of ingredients inside the link itself. The menu page your guests open stores nothing in their browser and loads no analytics, so it doesn’t show a cookie notice.
Analytics
Jigger doesn’t run any analytics or tracking scripts.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Jigger doesn’t receive or keep those logs for profiling. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Recipe source links go to iba-world.com and video links open on YouTube. Nothing from those sites is embedded here, so they only see you if you follow a link, and their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
Because Jigger has no accounts and doesn’t collect personal data on its servers, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete: everything lives in your browser. To remove it, choose Essential only in Cookie settings, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Contact and changes
Questions about this policy can be sent to the site owner. If this policy changes in a way that affects what is stored, the cookie notice will ask you again.
