# Sherry Cobbler

> Sherry Cobbler, the IBA official recipe: sherry, simple syrup, orange juice and lemon juice. Shaken and served in a julep cup over crushed ice.

Sherry, sugar and citrus over crushed ice with fresh berries. The 1800s drink that made the straw popular.

## Ingredients

Amounts are for one drink. Ounces use 30 ml to the ounce.

- 45 ml (1½ oz) [Amontillado sherry](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/sherry/)
- 45 ml (1½ oz) [Palo Cortado sherry](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/sherry/)
- 1 tsp [Sugar](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/simple-syrup/index.md) (or granulated; or 7.5 ml (¼ oz) simple syrup)
- ½ [Orange wheel](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/orange/index.md)
- ½ [Lemon wheel](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/lemon/index.md)

## Method

1. Combine sherry, sugar and 2 quarter wheels each of orange and lemon in a shaker with ice, shake briskly, strain into a Julep cocktail cup filled with crushed ice.

## Garnish

Fresh berries, ¼ wheel each orange and lemon. Serve with straws.
