> Martinez, the IBA official recipe: 45 ml gin, 45 ml sweet vermouth, 1 bar spoon maraschino liqueur and 2 dashes orange bitters. Stirred and served up in a chilled cocktail glass, garnished with lemon zest.

Gin, sweet vermouth, maraschino and orange bitters. The 1880s ancestor of the Martini.

## Ingredients

Amounts are for one drink. Ounces use 30 ml to the ounce.

## Method

1. Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes.
2. Stir well.
3. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

## Garnish

Lemon zest.
